About me

Professional

I received both doctoral (Ph.D.) and masters (M.S.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from the APA-Accredited graduate training program from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I completed an APA-Accredited internship training year at the Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL, as well as a year of post-graduate training at Cornerstone Counseling Services in Brookfield, WI. I have been licensed as a Psychologist since 2008 and have received a psychologist license in three states (MI, IL, and WI). I have been licensed as a psychologist in Michigan since 2010.

My training was focused on learning skills related to delivering research-based treatments for adults with Mood Disorders (depression and biploar disorder), Anxiety Disorders (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), and Substance Use Disorders. I have been trained to work in multiple care settings (inpatient care units, day treatment programs, outpatient clinics) as well as in different care modalities (individual, group, family, and couples therapy.)

Most of my professional career since becoming licensed has been providing clinical care in outpatient group practice settings. I have also taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at Marquette University as an Adjunct Faculty Member and worked in mental health care administrative roles. I have come full circle back to direct clinical care because that is what I enjoy the most.

Personal

I moved to Ann Arbor with my husband in 2010 and we are happy to be raising our two young boys here, who are in the Saline School District. I am a big sports fan, particularly basketball (college mostly) and baseball. Growing up in the Chicago area, I am a huge Chicago Cubs fan and since moving to Ann Arbor, have become a big fan of U of M sports. My greatest enjoyment in life is being with my family and friends, regardless of what we are doing. I find the connections I have with others to be the most rewarding aspects of my life.
